# Anthropic protocol

> Send native Anthropic Messages requests through Tikway.

Send Anthropic Messages requests to `POST https://api.tikway.ai/v1/messages`. Put your Tikway API key in `x-api-key`, add `anthropic-version: 2023-06-01`, and use Anthropic fields such as `model`, `max_tokens`, and `messages` in the JSON body.

Successful responses follow the Anthropic Messages format. For complete request and response fields, open **API Reference → Chat completions → Anthropic protocol**.
